Applications are invited to the University of Manitoba Fellowship Program in Canada for 2024. The University of Manitoba has announced a fellowship Program for Graduates. Candidates who want to pursue their Master’s and PhD degrees in Canada can avail this opportunity. Each Year University of Manitoba announces scholarships to support the intellectual candidates to study in Master’s and PhD programs. The fellowships are awarded annually to graduate students with intellectual ability and academic accomplishments. The fellowships, valued at $18,000 at the Ph.D. level and $14,000 at the Master’s level, are offered each year to graduate students who are enrolled in or plan to enroll in the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Manitoba in a research-based Master’s or Ph.D. program as full-time students.

Candidates from all over the world can apply for the UMGF Program. Applicants who are successful in the current competition must take up their awards in May, September, or January. Students who are unable to accept their award within this academic year must decline the award. The University of Manitoba Fellowship Program is for 12 to 48 months. - UMGF master’s awards are valued at $14,000 per year for 12 or 24 months, for up to a total of $28,000.
- UMGF doctoral awards are valued at $18,000 per year for 12, 24, 36 or 48 months, for up to a total of $72,000.
- Departments/units determine the value and duration of an award and must meet the eligibility criteria as outlined in the eligibility table
- Recipients can work unlimited hours, full or part-time, and maintain their UMGF
Eligibility Criteria:

- Applicants from all over the world are eligible to apply
- Students must have a minimum admission GPA of 3.0 to be considered for this award.
- Candidates must have been admitted to a graduate program at the University of Manitoba as a Master’s or Ph.D. student. Pre-masters and Occasional students are not eligible.
- Applicants should not have an active, admission‐related hold on their student account during their provisional admission period.
- Applicants must be registered full‐time in a graduate program of study in the unit that recommends them for a UMGF if they hold a UMGF award.
- All fields eligible except pre-masters, Occasional students, MBA, MFin, MSCM
