This award is available to all international students from a selection of countries who are seeking to study a taught master’s degree at Birmingham in the 2024/25 academic year. For Undergraduate Scholarships, the School of Chemical Engineering is happy to be able to recognize and reward its top incoming Overseas students to celebrate their academic achievements before arriving as a student at the University of Birmingham. While for Masters Global Scholarships At Birmingham, candidates will join a stimulating postgraduate community of students and researchers. We offer over 600 taught master’s opportunities to choose from, and 140 research courses, which enable them to develop their career and pursue their interests.Â
Candidates who meet the criteria will automatically deduct their scholarship from their tuition fees. They will need to accept their unconditional offer to study at Birmingham University before the deadline and pay a deposit to secure their place in their program. The only thing that applicants need to do is to find the Master’s course to which they are going to apply.

International Excellence Scholarships:
The School of Chemical Engineering is offering scholarships to international talented students for the Undergraduate Program at the University of Birmingham. Erasmus Scholarships in Netherlands
Ranking:
Applicants will be ranked on:
- Maths and Chemistry A Level (or equivalent other qualifications*) grades.
- Overall A Level or other equivalent qualification grades.
- Enthusiasm and understanding of Chemical Engineering demonstrated on UCAS application
Scholarship Value:
The Chemical Engineering Excellence Scholarship consists of a £3000 bank transfer or tuition fee reduction during year 1 semester 1 for the top 10 students who meet the eligibility Criteria.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates need to meet the following requirements for the Global Masters Scholarship Program:
- Be classified as international for fees on your acceptance to the university.
- Be accepted to one of the courses mentioned above for year 1 entry after placing it as a firm choice in UCAS
- Have been awarded an Excellence Scholarship in your first year of study.
- Achieve a 70% year average at the first attempt in your previous year of study.
- Renewal will pause for years spent in industrial study or intercalated study and will restart during applicants return to study at in School of Chemical Engineering at Birmingham based on the performance from the year before their year out.
Deadline:
There is no specific deadline for the International Excellence Scholarship Program candidates can apply at any time of the year.
How to Apply:
No application is required, all those who meet the conditions above will be contacted by the end of welcome week 2024. Holders of this award become eligible for the Chemical Engineering First Class Scholarship after year 1, which is applied in the form of a £1500 tuition fee discount.

Global Masters award is available to all international students from a selection of countries who are seeking to study a taught master’s degree at Birmingham in the 2024/25 academic year.

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements. You must: Study in Canada
- Have applied for, and received an admission offer for, a taught Masters’s degree at the University of Birmingham UK campus, to study in the 2024/25 academic year.
- Be classed as ‘domiciled’ in one of the selected countries. Please see the list below.
- Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes.
- Start your studies at the University in September/ October 2024 on a full-time course delivered at the University’s UK campus

Scholarship Value:
The value of the Master’s scholarship at Birmingham University is £10,000 for Masters Degree Students.
