foreign students and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE)* for the academic year 2024-25 in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, to promote Italian
language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world (according to Law 288/55 and its subsequent changes and additions).
There are two types of scholarships for international students who want to study in Italy, ERSU and Italian Government Scholarships. These scholarships will cover the tuition fee, Medical Expenses, Canteen expenditures, and other finances for the selected students. Not only this assistance but also ERSU provide the financial assistance in cash for the outstanding students. Candidates need to complete the criteria for studying in Italy. The University of Palermo, together with ERSU (the regional body for the right to study), offers international students a variety of financial aid: scholarships, exemptions, reduction of fees, and other forms of concession.
