With its development-oriented postgraduate study programs, the DAAD promotes the training of specialists from developed and newly industrialized countries. Well-trained local experts, who are networked with international partners, play an important part in the sustainable development of their countries. They are the best guarantee for a better future with less poverty, more education, and health for all. The scholarships offer foreign graduates from developed and newly industrialized countries from all disciplines and with at least two years’ professional experience the chance to take a postgraduate or Master’s degree at a state or state-recognized German university, and in exceptional cases to take a doctoral degree, and to obtain a university qualification (Master’s/PhD) in Germany.

Duration:
The duration of the DAAD EPOS Scholarship Program is 12 to 48 months. Study in Barcelona Spain
Scholarship Value:
The DAAD EPOS Scholarships will award the following benefits to the deserving students:
- Depending on academic level, monthly payments of 934 euros for graduates or 1,300 euros for doctoral candidates
- Payments toward health, accident and personal liability insurance cover
- Travel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another source of funding

Under certain circumstances, scholarship holders may receive the following additional benefits:
- Monthly rent subsidy
- Monthly allowance for accompanying members of the family
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates need to meet the following requirements for the DAAF EPOS Scholarship Program:
- Candidates must be citizens of the list of eligible countries
- Candidates have a Bachelor’s degree (usually a four-year course) in an appropriate subject
- Candidates have at least two years of professional experience
- Candidates can prove their motivation is development-related and be expected to take on social responsibility and initiate and support processes of change in their personal and professional environment after their training/scholarship
- Applicants’ academic degrees should not be more than 6 years old
- Candidates should meet the English proficiency requirements and candidates need to check whether the relevant institute to which they are going to apply required English proficiency Certificates or not
- The following scores or bands are required for English proficiency Certificates
- TOEFL paper-based – 550 score
- TOEFL computer-based – 213 score
- TOEFL internet-based – 80 score
- IELTS – 6 band overall

How to Apply:
- The Application Process for the DAAD Europass Scholarship Program is online
- Candidates are advised to send the application form and related documents directly to the relevant University
- Applications sent to the DAAD will not be accepted or process
- Candidates can apply for a maximum of three postgraduate courses of their choice and Insititute, if they select one course they have to mention it on the application form
- The application must be in English or German
- A selection committee will select the Potential candidates for the DAAD Scholarships
- DAAD will contact the s suggested candidates to upload all the required documents
