Admission for international students will open in June 2024. UMY is offering full-time study, Full-time study is defined as at least three-quarters of the standard full-time load for students. In a very general sense, a full-time student is usually a student who takes at least 24 credits per semester at UMY where the total courses and credits or hours vary depending on the department.

The duration of the courses varies from 2 to 4 years as an Undergraduate program is for 4 years, postgraduate 2 years, and a PhD program is for 4 years. The scholarship is fully funded for one year and later candidates need to meet the criteria and maintain a CGPA for the continuation of the Scholarship program in Indonesia.
