A number of government departments and agencies are contributing to the funding of the Research Irish Council Program. It is a fully funded Irish Scholarship Program and the 28000 euros will be awarded to the selected candidates. It is the most prestigious and toughest scholarship program and there is only an 18% success rate over the past 5 years. The Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme is unique in the Irish research landscape and complements other channels for funded postgraduate education in the Irish ecosystem.Â

Financial Coverage:
The government of Ireland will offer 28000 euros each year and it will be divided into the following:
UGRAD Scholarship Program in USA
- Candidates will be offered 19000 euros per annum as a stipend
- a contribution to fees, including non-EU fees, up to a maximum of €5,750 per annum
- 3,250 euros as research expenses

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for the Irish Government Scholarship Program:
- Applicants must be an international citizen
- Candidates must have done graduate or bachelor’s for Masters Program
- Candidates must have done a Masters degree for the Ph.D. program from a recognized institute
- Applicants must not be enrolled in any Postgraduate Council Scholarship Program
- Applicants from all areas of discipline are encouraged to apply.
