Financial Coverage:
Pierre Elliot Trudeau will award the following benefits to the international candidates for the scholarship Program:
- Candidates will get the award of $50000 per year for three years which will cover the tuition fee and living expenses
- Candidates will also receive the award of $20,000 per year for three years for research, networking, and travel expenses related to their doctoral research
- Candidates will also be included in the large community of more than 500 alumni and alumnae of the FoundationÂ
- Candidates will also be included in a vibrant community of Scholars, Fellows and Mentors, all leaders in their respective disciplines and fields of action.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates need to meet the following criteria for the eligibility of Pierre Elliot Trudeau Program:
International Students:
- A Canadian student studying at a Canadian university
- A Canadian student studying at an international university
- An international student studying at a Canadian university
- Â Students from international universities who are living outside Canada are not eligible.Â
Qualifications:
At the time of application, Candidates must:
- Be in the process of completing a Master’s program (completed no later than summer 2025)
- Be in the first year of a doctoral program
- Be in your second year of a doctoral program
- The field of study is broadly related to the humanities and social sciences or human sciences and is directly relevant to the future of Canada.
