The university is offering a scholarship of value €34,000 including tuition fees and a monthly stipend each year.
The Maastricht University offers two types of scholarships High Potential Scholarships and NL. The Maastricht University Scholarship fund funds the High Potential scholarship and the NL scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in conjunction with Dutch universities and universities of Applied Sciences. Netherlands Scholarships provides living expenses for international students.

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates need to meet the following criteria for the NL Potential Scholarship Program:
Scholarships for women in the USA
- Candidates must hold a nationality in a country outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland or Surinam, and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.
- Candidates do not have dual nationality from an EU/EEA country or Switzerland.Â
- Candidates have applied for admission to a participating full-time master’s Program.
- Candidates must meet the specific admission requirements of the UM master’s program to which they have applied.
- Candidates have never participated in a degree-seeking higher education program in the Netherlands. Students who have completed exchange programs in the Netherlands are welcome to apply.
- Candidates should not be older than 35 years of age on 1 September 2025.
- Candidates have obtained excellent results during their prior education programs, as demonstrated by your latest grade transcript showing a GPA of 7,5 out of 10 or higher.
- Candidates can only apply once, please make sure all documents meet the requirements before Candidates must start their application. We cannot add or replace documents after you submit the application
- Candidates must note, that this is a very competitive scholarship, only 2% of the applicants get awarded the scholarship.

The duration of the NL Potential scholarship Program at Masstrciht scholarship is:

- 13Â months for a one-year master’s program
- 25Â months for a two-year master’s program
Deadline:
The last date to apply for the Maastricht University Scholarship Program is 1st February 2025.

Application Process:
- Candidates must register themselves for one of the Masters Program at UM
- Once Candidates have submitted their application via Studielink, they will receive a student ID number for UM.
- Candidates need a student number to complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form.
- Â Please fill in the application form, you need to log in with your UM account
- Upload the required documents along with the application form
- . Please note that you will only be able to submit your application once, so please ensure that all of your documents and referee contact details are up-to-date.Â
- The UM International Services Desk will send all complete applications to each UM Faculty in February 2025.
