Eligibility Criteira:

Candidates need to meet the following requirements for the Friedrich Scholarship Program: Study in the UK under The GREAT Scholarship Program

• for basic funding :

• Confirmation of a study place or certificate of enrollment at a state or state-recognized German (technical) university for the course of study for which you want to be supported
• Foreign applicants must demonstrate sufficient German language skills
• First-year students (Germans and foreign students) apply before or at the beginning of the first semester and need two reports from teachers for the further application process

For PhD Program:

• Admission letter for the doctoral scholarship
• Foreign applicants must demonstrate sufficient German language skills

Scholarship Value:

Candidates need to follow the following steps for the application process for the Friedrich Ebert Scholarship Program:

1. Fill out the application form online
2.  If Applicants are eligible for a scholarship, we will request further documents from you by email: two expert reports from university professors and information about your previous education and your socio-political commitment. 
3. First-year students (not master’s students) submit two reports from former teachers in their first university semester.
4. If Applicants are shortlisted, FES would also like to get to know you personally. They will invite you to two interviews: with a trusted lecturer from your department and with a member of their selection committee. 
5. he selection committee makes the final decision about acceptance into one of its programs. The committee meets several times a year.
