This program is for Masters and PhD Programs, candidates will have a duration of 2.5 to 3 years for master’s degrees and 4 years for PhD programs. Financial Benefits:

The University of Melbourne will award the following benefits to the candidates:

  • Full tuition fee waiver to the candidates or up to 135,000$
  • Living Allowance of 37,000$ to the selected candidates, The living allowance may be indexed annually and includes limited paid sick, maternity, and parenting leave.
  • Relocation grant of $2000 for students moving from States or Territories other than Victoria or $3000 for students moving from outside Australia.
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership for international students who require a student visa to study in Australia

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates need to fulfill the following criteria for the eligibility in University of Melbourne Research Scholarship Program:

  • Australian and Foreign National citizens are eligible for the Scholarship Program
  • Candidates must have applied, and meet the admission criteria for the Graduation Research Program
  • Candidates currently enrolled in the University of Melbourne degree Program are also eligible for the Research Scholarship Program
  • Candidates must have completed 16 years of education with 75% of marks or equivalent CGPA
  • Candidates must have completed 18 years of education with 75% of marks in the previous degree
  • Candidates must be medically fit
  • Candidates must have a good academic record
  • Candidates must not receive other scholarships or grant
  • Candidates are not eligible if they are doing any other graduate research program from any other institute
