Pakistan is full of talented young boys and girls but due to many severe circumstances, they didn’t get a chance to prove themselves. In such circumstances, lack of financial assistance is on top. Many young bright students who can not afford university fee, drop in the middle of it and loses their chance to do something extraordinary in their practical life. To cope with these financial crises Higher education Commission is offering financial assistance to undergraduate students from different public sector universities.

HEC needs to base scholarships purely on merit base and candidates will be evaluated according to their social and economic conditions. They will be asked about some basic information regarding their source of income etc to select them on merit and provide them equal opportunities to get high-quality education in 94 Public Sector institutes all over Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria:

HEC need base scholarships will be awarded to the candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must be a student of undergraduate
• Candidates must be studied in the above-mentioned public sector universities
• Candidates who already enrolled in the HEC financial need base scholarships are also eligible for this time
• The eligibility of candidates is linked to their financial needs that will be assessed by the institutional Scholarship Award Committee.
• Each university will decide how many students will get these scholarships.
• HEC will assist financially for the whole duration of their graduation, in case of dropping off any students results in replacement with another candidate.
• The disciplines of the university will be selected by the university itself.
• Self-financed students are not eligible for HEC need base scholarships

Financial Assistance:

• Students will get a stipend under this scholarship yearly
• The tuition fee will be fully funded under HEC need base scholarship for the whole 4 years of candidates’ academic duration

Scholarship Procedure:

• Universities that pass the applications of the selected candidates will be reviewed by the Institutional Scholarship Award Committee ISAC which is headed by the VC of the participating universities, executives of HEC, and the HEC scholarship Management Committee.

• After the finalization of the successful candidates list the participating universities will be forward the funds to selected students.

Application Procedure:

Candidates who wanted to apply for HEC need base scholarships can get applications from the FAO department of the participating university.
Financial Aid Office will give you an application form and you have to fill the form and attach all the relevant documents and submit to the FAO of your university.
No individual application will be acceptable by any candidates.
