Applications are invited to study at the University of Milan in Italy. Candidates who want to pursue their higher education can study at the Universita de Milano as the Excellence Scholarship Program has been announced for the academic years 2024 and 2025. In line with its internationalization strategies for increasing incoming mobility and attractiveness to foreign students, the University of Milan offers its international students scholarships and exemptions from tuition fees.
Excellence scholarships are reserved for international students holding a foreign title and enrolled
in a master’s degree program or the International Medical School single-cycle master
program who meet specific merit requirements based on the academic career, on the
curriculum vitae uploaded during the admission application to the first year and on the academic
coursework completed in the master’s degree program.
The number of scholarships reserved for students enrolled in the first year is decided annually by

The University of Milan offers its best new students “Excellence Scholarships”, all students enrolled in the first year of a Master’s degree program can apply. For the academic year 2024/2025, 155 incentives are available to the best international students admitted to a Master’s degree program. An ad-hoc Commission awards these Scholarships to all those who applied for admission to a Master’s degree program by the end of May 2024.Â

The allocation of the benefits destined to students of master’s degree programs with limited
access and of the single-cycle master’s degree program in International Medical School is
made based on the admission test scores. The award’s outcome is communicated by email to the address provided during the registration on the portal. Recipients must enroll online by the deadlines set in the corresponding admission notices.

- 100 Students will get a full exemption from the inclusive tuition fee
- 55 Excellence Scholarship will also be worth € 8,000 each, with the right to exemption from the all-inclusive tuition fee
-  The university awards one scholarship worth € 6,000, accommodation, and a canteen card to candidates from Refugee Countries

Candidates need to meet the following criteria for the Scholarship Program at the Milan University:

- International Students are eligible to apply
- Be admitted to an open-access master’s degree program and complete the
- application for admission by May 31st of each year or be admitted to a master’s degree
- program with limited access
- Be admitted to the single-cycle master’s degree program at International Medical School.
- Among applicants of equal merit, preference will be given to those with the best academic records. In the case of persisting equal merit, preference is given to the younger applicant.

There is no separate Application process candidates must enroll themselves by the end of May and if they are successful they will be considered for the scholarship based on the selection criteria evaluated by the selection committee.
