The best part about AMEXCID merit scholarship Program is that more than 80 Higher education institutes take part in the Mexican merit scholarship Program. The main purpose of this call offers the opportunity to carry out student exchanges that allow for academic and cultural integration between partner countries and Mexico. Mexican scholarship will give the opportunity for development in high-level academics and human capital through not only awarding of scholarships but also different training programs, all included in the objectives of the Mexican Merit Scholarship Program.
These scholarships have different modules like undergraduate, Graduate scholarship programs, Masters’s programs, Ph.D. programs, and post-doctorate Programs for foreign bright students. Candidates who wanted to study in Mexico’s top-level institutes must fulfill all the criteria to get a high-paid stipend and other facilities.

Kinds and Duration of Scholarships:
The Mexican government has the following modules and duration of different scholarship Programs:

Benefits:
AMEXCID will award the following benefits to the selected candidates:
For Master’s scholarships, mobility at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, and Master’s level
research, a monthly stipend of 4 (four) times the monthly value of the Federal Economic
Measurement Unit (UMA), currently equivalent to $12,614.80 (Twelve thousand six hundred
fourteen pesos and 80/100 M.N.) per month. The UMA is subject to changes established by
law. (Stipend is paid in the following month).
- For Doctoral scholarships and research stays at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels, a
monthly stipend of 5 (five) times the monthly value of the UMA, currently equivalent to
$15,768.50 (Fifteen thousand seven hundred sixty-eight pesos and 50/100 M.N.). The UMA
is subject to changes established by law. (Stipend is paid in the following month). - Enrollment and tuition, under the provisions of the program of each Mexican Educational
Institution, subject to the final decision of each Institution, issued through their
acceptance letter. - Medical Health Insurance
- Air tickets will be awarded if candidates already arranged it, then it will be non-refundable
- Payment Waiver for issuing Mexico VISA
- National transportation if Institute is outside the Mexican city
- If national transportation is grounded then candidates need to pay bus fares and it will be reimbursed for their monthly stipend

Eligibility Criteria and Required Documents:
Candidates need to meet the criteria and fulfill the requirements of their documents according to the modalities or program which they are going to pursue:
- Candidates must be an international or foreign citizen
- If candidates are already studying in Mexico they need to attach specific required documents ( CURP, Temporary Residency ID Card)
- Candidates must have an excellent academic record
- Preference will be given to those who have not received AMEXCID Scholarship previously
For Undergraduates and Graduate Programs:
- Acceptance letter from the receiving Mexican University not exceeding 60 calendar days from
the date of issuance indicating a GPA of 85 (on a scale of 0 to 100 or 8.5 on a scale of 10)
equivalent to the Mexican education system, and the start and end dates of the
studies (ONLY FOR CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT RESIDE IN MEXICO), or; - Letter of introduction from the Mexican University not exceeding 60 calendar days from the
date of issuance stating the candidate’s GPA of 85 (on a scale of 0 to 100 or 8.5 on a scale of
10), current and regular status as a student, and the start and end dates of the studies (ONLY
FOR CANDIDATES WHO RESIDE IN MEXICO). - Copy of the letter issued by the home institution committing to recognize/validate the
educational credits of the subjects or studies to be taken in Mexico. - If the program is carried out in a language other than Spanish and different from their mother
tongue, a copy of the communication issued by the receiving Institution committing to
provide tutoring in another language, specifies the language and the name of the tutor. - If the candidate is already pursuing a degree in Mexico, a copy of the academic transcript
showing a minimum accumulated GPA of 85 (on a scale of 0 to 100 or 8.5 on a scale of 10)
issued by the Mexican IES in which they are enrolled, signed by a responsible authority. - For graduate-level mobilities, a copy of the previous degree certificate must be submitted

Master and Doctorate Degree:
- Acceptance letter from the receiving Mexican University not exceeding 60 calendar days from
the date of issuance indicating a GPA of 85 (on a scale of 0 to 100 or 8.5 on a scale of 10)
equivalent to the Mexican education system, and the start and end dates of the studies.
(ONLY FOR CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT RESIDE IN MEXICO), or;
- Letter of introduction from the Mexican University not exceeding 60 calendar days from the
date of issuance stating the candidate’s GPA of 85 (on a scale of 0 to 100 or 8.5 on a scale of
10), current and regular status as a student, and the start and end dates of the studies (ONLY
FOR CANDIDATES RESIDING IN MEXICO). - Copy of the immediate previous degree.
- Copy of the studies certificate from the last study period, issued by the home Institution,
which must specify a minimum GPA of 85 (on a scale of 0 to 100 or 8.5 on a scale of 10). An
applicant with a doctoral degree does not need to demonstrate a minimum average. - If the candidate is already pursuing a degree in Mexico, a copy of the academic record that
certifies a minimum cumulative GPA of 85 (on a scale of 0 to 100 or 8.5 on a scale of 10) issued
by the Mexican HEI in which the applicant is enrolled, signed by a responsible authority. - If the studies are in a language other than Spanish and different from their native language,
a copy of the communication issued by the receiving Institution must be presented,
committing to provide tutoring in another language, specifying this language and the name
of the tutor.

Research at Graduate Level:
- Copy of the immediate previous degree (Master’s or doctorate as applicable).
- Copy of the certificate of studies from the last period attended, issued by the Institution of
origin, which must specify a minimum GPA of 85 (on a scale of 0 to 100 or 8.5 on a scale of 10).
An applicant with a Doctorate degree does not need to prove a minimum average. - The acceptance letter must indicate that tutoring will be provided for the development of the
research, the name of the person who will advise the applicant and the name of the
research to be conducted. - If the research stay will be conducted in a language other than Spanish and different from
the applicant’s native language, a copy of the communication issued by the receiving
