There are two main fields for the European Union traineeship Program:

Eligibility Criteria:


Candidates need to meet the following criteria for the Blue Book Traineeship Program:

  • All EU or Non-EU students can apply for Traineeship Program
  • Candidates must have completed a standard 3-year higher education degree (minimum EQF 6 level), corresponding to a complete Bachelor’s cycle, or equivalent. 
  • Have good knowledge of at least two EU Languages one of it must be working language
  • Non-EU candidates only required one language at C1 or C2 level

Benefits:

European Union Traineeship Program will cover the following benefits:

  • Trainees will receive €1300 monthly stipend
  • For non-EU citizens organizations also cover visa costs that are necessarily required

Duration:

The duration of the traineeship will be 5 months with 40 hours of work per week and 8 hours per day. The daily working hours also depend upon the workload of the units in the EU.

Internship Benefits and Conditions:

UNDP project interns will get the following benefits under Project Internship Program:

  1. UNDP will provide a stipend of USD 223.07 monthly by the provisions of the UNDP Internship policy
  2. Interns are expected to work full-time, but flexibility is allowed during education programs;
  3. The purpose of the Internship Programme is not to lead to further employment with UNDP
  4. Interns are not considered staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity.
  5. Selected Interns must be able to share proof of education enrolment and/or graduation, and medical/ insurance valid for the location in which the internship will be carried out and for the duration of the internship. In addition, selected interns must provide self-certification of good health before starting the internship.

Candidates need to follow the following requirements for the UNDP Internship Program:

Academic Requirements:

  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program (such as a master’s program, or higher);
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (such as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
  • Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one year of graduation;
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program. 

Experience:

Applicants are not required to have professional work experience but experience working in interpretation and translation areas are highly desired.

  • return air travel–payment of a single return, economy class airfare to and from Australia, via the most direct route
  • establishment allowance–a once-only payment as a contribution towards accommodation expenses, textbooks, study materials
  • Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE) – a fortnightly contribution to basic living expenses paid at a rate determined by the department.
  • Introductory Academic Program (IAP)–a compulsory program before the commencement of formal academic studies covering information on living and studying in Australia
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of the award (for award holder only)–provided to cover the scholar’s basic medical costs (except pre-existing conditions)

Eligiblity Criteria:

Candidates need to meet the following requirements for eligiblity of the Australia Award Scholarships: Study in the USA

  • Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Candidates must belong to the participating countries mentioned above
  • Candidates must not be a resident of Australia, hold permanent residency in Australia, or be applying for a visa to live in Australia permanently
  • Candidates must not be married to, engaged to, or a de facto of a person who holds, or is eligible to hold, Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency, at any time during the application, selection, or mobilization phases (note: residents of Cook Islands, Niue, and Tokelau with New Zealand citizenship are eligible but must apply for a Student visa.
  • Candidates must not be currently serving military personnel
  • Candidates must not have previously received a long-term Australia Award unless they have resided outside of Australia for twice the length of the total time that they were in Australia (for example, a previous awardee who has been on an Australia Awards Scholarship in Australia for four years will not be eligible to apply for another Australia Awards Scholarship until they have resided outside Australia for eight years)
  • Candidates must have satisfied any specific criteria established by the Program Area or the government of the applicant’s country of citizenship (e.g. having  worked a certain number of years in an appropriate sector)
  • Candidates must be able to satisfy the admission requirements of the institution at which the award is to be undertaken (this may mean that Program Areas will need to withdraw an award offer if the recipient cannot satisfy the institution’s admission requirements. This may not be known until Program Areas request a placement at selected institutions).
  • Candidates be able to satisfy all requirements of the Department of Home Affairs to hold a Student Visa. This may mean that the Program Area will need to withdraw an award offer if the recipient cannot satisfy the visa requirements
  • Candidates must not be applying for a scholarship for a course of study at an academic level lesser than they have already achieved (eg applying for a Master’s scholarship when they already hold a Ph.D.)
  • Applicants must inform the Program Area of any connection or relationship to staff employed at Program Areas (including locally engaged staff at the post) or with managing contractors so that the application may be properly and transparently managed.

CSC Development Theme:

Eligiblity Criteria:

To be considered for the Commonwealth Scholarship Program candidate must:  Study in Australia

  • Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country.
  • Show evidence that they are currently permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country. Candidates must have been living in an eligible Commonwealth country for two years before the date they submit their application, which must be clear within the application.
  • Not be registered for or have started a Ph.D., or an MPhil leading to a Ph.D. at a UK university before the start of the Scholarship and be available to start the Scholarship and academic studies in the UK in September/October 2024 (exact date to be agreed by the CSC). The Scholarship will not be offered to anyone who has already started their PhD in the UK before September 2024.
  • Hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honors standard, or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree) by the time they apply for the Scholarship, with evidence of the degree to be submitted within the application.
  • Not have commenced or be currently registered for a PhD, or an MPhil leading to a PhD, in their home country or elsewhere.
  • Hold an unconditional offer or an offer conditional only on finance for the 2024 UK academic year from all of the UK universities listed on their application, to be submitted as part of the application.
  • Provide references from at least 2 individuals, in PDF format, signed and on institution letterhead or an email clearly showing the sender’s details.
  • Provide a supporting statement from a proposed supervisor from at least one of the UK universities listed in the application, in PDF format, signed and on institution letterhead or an email clearly showing the sender’s details.

  • Approved tuition fees: full fees are covered by an agreement between the CSC and the UK university, and Scholars are not liable to pay for any part of the tuition fee.

  • Warm clothing allowance, where applicable.
