Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates need to meet the requirements of the following criteria of the UAL Scholarship Program:

Criteria 1: You must hold an offer to study a full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s Colleges and Institutes starting in 2024/25.

Study in Barcelona Spain

  • Your course must offer either a Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes, or MSc qualification.
  • Your course must be delivered full-time in person in London. Online and low residency courses are not eligible.
  • You are not eligible to apply if you already hold a UK postgraduate taught qualification (or one at an equivalent level) from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad.

Criteria 2: You need to be ordinarily resident in one of the low-income economy countries detailed in our list of qualifying countries (see below). The list excludes the following developed countries: Canada, China, Japan, the UK, the USA, and the European Union/EEA member states. If your country is not on the list you may be eligible for other funding options, including the UAL International Postgraduate £7,000 Scholarship.

  • Evidence such as a copy of your immigration documents, ID card, or formal proof of your address must be included as part of your application.

Criteria 4: You must provide a personal statement as part of your scholarship application that responds to the following questions (maximum 350 words per question):

This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to study in Japan on a fully funded Scholarship Program. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers scholarships to international students who wish to study at Japanese national universities as Undergraduate Students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program. Candidates who are enrolled in an undergraduate course at a university or are receiving preparatory education in the Japanese language and other subjects before placement at the university. Candidates need to choose their field of study before getting the scholarships in Japan. MEXT will select international students from all over the world who meet the requirements and have good academic records.

Candidates who will be granted the MEXT Scholarships at the Undergraduate Level must keep in mind that the first year will belong to the preparatory education and Each grantee will be enrolled at a preparatory educational institution designated by MEXT for the first year of the scholarship period. The preparatory course is a one-year intensive course in the Japanese language and
other subjects necessary for preparation for proceeding to university. Applicants who have sufficient Japanese language proficiency may request to enroll directly in their university
without taking the preparatory education course. The decision on universities of applicants who are eligible for direct placement shall be made by MEXT in consultation with the relevant university, based on the preference of each applicant

After one year of the preparatory education grantee will be rolled into the University for the University education, and the MEXT Consultation and Preparatory Educational Institutes will choose the University in Japan. Duration and Placement:

The UNESCO fellowship will last for 6 months and take place at the AGH University of Krakow, UNESCO AGH Chair (A. Mickiewicza Ave 30, PL 30-059 Krakow, Poland). 

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates need to meet the following requirements as mentioned by UNESCO:

  • Candidates must be citizens of the above-mentioned state of the world
  • The age of the candidates should not be more than 32 years
